Uzbekistan possesses a rich livestock tradition, yet the transition toward industrial-scale meat processing is currently in a critical phase. The demand for standardized salted hog casing has grown as local producers shift from artisanal home-made sausages to commercial distribution, requiring consistent diameters and higher burst strengths.
The regional climate, characterized by extreme continental temperature fluctuations, poses a significant challenge for the storage of salted sausage casings. This has led to an urgent need for advanced refrigeration and moisture-controlled storage equipment within the meat processing plants of Tashkent and Samarkand.
Currently, the Uzbekistan market shows a strong preference for natural materials. However, there is a technical gap in the processing of salted sheep casing, where traditional salt-curing methods are being replaced by standardized chemical-free preservation techniques to meet international export standards.
